Palawai Basin sits in a flat plateau at about 1600 feet above sea level. The morning fog settles on the flats with cool temperatures at mid 60's hitting afternoon highs of 80's to 90's. It can be comfortable in Lana'i City with temperatures in the mid 70's. Be prepared to acclimate to these weather changes.

Bird Hunt Sessions

Each hunt day will comprise of two morning hunts (Sunrise hunt A & B) and two afternoon hunts (Sunset Hunts A & B). All hunts will include one hunting guide and pointing retriever dogs. No minimum and up to four hunters allowed per session. Morning hunts start a half-hour after sunrise to 11:30am and afternoon hunts starts 2:30pm to 6:30pm. A total of 4 hours field time per session.

Lana'i has an abundance of ring-necked & Hawaiian Blue pheasants, chukar partridge, grey francolin partridges, doves, Rio Grande turkeys, erkel francolins and quails. Be on guard; you will never know what might flush out.
